Exuding positivity and enthusiasm, with curly hair and ingenuity “a bit like Ms. Frizzle,” as she says, Miss Zehnwirth is always up for a good challenge. After a year of intensive study in Israel, Miss Zehnwirth earned a teaching certificate from the Bnos Sara Teachers Institute. Upon her return to the US, she earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from New York’s Excelsior College. She feels that her study of psychology helps her to better understand her students and guide them to believe in themselves, enabling them to push past their limitations.
A previous member of the Yeshiva Day School of Las Vegas’s teaching faculty, Miss Zehnwirth gained experience in a large range of classrooms as she taught the 5th – 8th grade girls. She scripted, directed, and produced the Middle School Musical “Take Me Home” that made waves in the community for weeks after. With that same passion for creativity, Miss Zehnwirth was the Summer Director of Project Seed Girls in Buffalo Grove and a dedicated staff member in camps Nageela Orlando and Agudah Midwest.
Miss Zehnwirth loves watching her girls blossom into confident young adults. Miss Zehnwirth is currently pursuing her Masters of Education in Digital Learning Design and Leadership from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaig. Miss Zehnwirth is thrilled to meet you!
